Works in Progress

I get a lot of emails asking me how I’m coming on certain books or series.   I know it’s frustrating to wait…I really do.  I’m a reader, too, and I hate having to be patient while an author writes a sequel or the next book in a series, so I understand.  All I can say is that writing is a creative endeavor, which means it works in mysterious ways and every author has to follow his/her own path and do it in his/her own timeframe. Some books write fast, some write slow.  Some need very little nurturing along the way because they just flow out,  and others take lots of nurturing.  Also, I find that the farther I get into a series I’m writing, the longer each story takes because I have to constantly reread the older stories to be sure I’m getting my facts, the characters, the places and events, and the tone consistent with the previous tales.  I’m almost always working on more than one project at a time and I won’t make promises about what’s going to get finished first.  In the end, they’ll all get done. All I ask for is your patience and a little bit of trust that I will get your favorites written.  Remember, I love the stories and characters, too, and am just as anxious as you are to find out what’s going to happen!  :)

CIRCLE OF ARIEND
*Part 4 in the Draegan Lords series
(High fantasy/shapeshifter)
Projected length:  Novel/Extended Novel
Main protagonists:  Gaige and Keiran
Setting:  The fantasy world of Velensperia
Tentative release:  Late summer/early fall of 2013, but as always this is a guess.  Keep checking as I frequently update this information

DARK MAGICK RISING
*A Draegan Lords Interlude
Wen and Wesley’s Story #2–the sequel to An Unexpected Magick, and the lead-in to Circle of Ariend.
Chronologically this will take place between the end of Lords of Kellesborne and the beginning of Circle of Ariend.
